The Prince of Tennis / Tennis no Oujisama

Last night my mom watched Rafael Nadal vs David Ferrer match on tv and i accompany her. When one of them scored, I said "15 love" "30 love" and not long after that I slept.

So this morning my mom said that Nadal win the match and I just simply answer her with "Ohh" and then she asked me how can I know after 15 is 30 ?? And I said I know it from anime.

Tonight post is about "Tennis no Oujisama / Prince of Tennis" the title often shortened to "Tenipuri". I watched this anime when I were on middle school so this is an old anime. Based on Takeshi Konomi's manga and adapted to anime. The story is about Echizen Ryoma, the tennis prodigy who attend on Seigaku a private famous school for it's tennis club and the talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance to secure himself a spot as one of the the team's regular.  In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the National Middle School Tennis Championship, members of the team make new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques. Ryoma also begins to develop his own style of tennis, and eventually realizes what the sport really means to him.

The New Prince of Tennis is set shortly after the end of the original manga. Ryoma returns to Japan after his trip to American as a candidate for the Japanese U-17 (under 17) High School Representatives Selection Camp, along with 50 other middle school tennis players. They begin a new adventure there, where only the top potentials in the Japanese tennis train.

This is one of my favorite anime and manga about sports. This manga teach us so many things. Beside give us a basic knowledge about tennis, this manga also teach us about friendship, solidarity, train hard, work hard and the other things.

"Normal" people may thinkthat anime and manga is JUST for kids. But here one example for you. Anime and manga teach us so many things. Just like this tennis case, when my mom asked me how can I know about the score system and I'm proudly answer "I knew it from anime/manga" which means is Tenipuri. Lol
